4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures, as a means of providing a systematic overview of the topics highlighting the most  important aspects thereof. The lectures will be developed in the classroom, interspersing problems between theoretical explanations when appropriate. Various means such classes projection transparencies, video projector, etc. are used.

 - Laboratory classes, these practical classes pursue to consolidate the knowledge acquired in lectures, especially those related to aspects of use of equipment, electrical installation assembly and compression.

   - Seminars, exhibition of works and debate: They are structured working sessions in which the teacher, with a group of students, examines and compares the different views and the opinions of all its components, in order to illustrate a conclusion and contribute to the understanding of the issues discussed by all students.

  - Tutorials, used as individualized method of learning and development skills cited. In the tutorials we will try to resolve the doubts raised by the students about the theory/practice classes or problems that students must perform classes.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Making an exam, which is based on interpreting some theoretical issues, and solving some problems and questions about practice performed in the laboratory. This test will count in the final grade of 40%

Attendance will count 10%, and the class participation will be 10%.

Two works will be made.  One single (problem solving or case) with a weight of 20% and another one at group, which will be making the design system protections, with a weight of 20%
