4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The teaching subjects manages to cover both theoretical and practical aspects about such a topic as ubiquitous computing. The student will learn about the theoretical foundations, as well as the application on real world problem.

In the practical sessions, several projects will be proposed to the students, in order to apply the acquired theoretical concepts in the design and development of applications for environmental interaction in mobile devices.

It will be encouraged the active participation in the class room, as well as seminars and oral presentations of works related to the teaching subject topic.

In order to improve the subject experience, theoretical and practical lessons are taught jointly.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Theoretical part will be evaluated by means of a written exam regarding the subject matter concepts as well as oral expositions of theoretical projects related to the subject (up to 50%).
Practical part will consist of the development of several projects that will be evaluated along the teaching period (up to 40%).
Autonomous work will be evaluated along the teaching period (up to 10%).

The final qualification will be the weighted sum of the previous aspects.
