4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

According to the methodologies reflected in the previous section, the teaching subject will proceed as follows:

Theoretical lessons at the classroom

The theoretical concepts necessary to acquire the skills and contents of the subject will be introduced in the master class. The corresponding technologies will be detailed by their location in the overall scheme and throughout examples that allow a better understanding.

Students will be encouraged to actively participate in class, through oral expositions and exercises.

At any time, students may raise questions regarding the current subject contents for clarification.

Practical lessons at the laboratory

Practical sessions will follow specific guides oriented to domain related technologies, aiming to the development of a fully functional content management system. Students will work in groups of varying size, depending on the complexity of the exercise.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

In order to pass the teaching subject, the student must score up to 5 points (over a scale of 10), considering both theoretical and practical qualifications.

The theoretical part will be evaluated by means of a written exam, in the established dates. In addition, the students can perform oral expositions about theoretical aspects in class.

The practical part consists in the design and implementation of a web based content management system. The project will be accomplished in groups, according to its complexity, and a final defense will take place at the end of the course.
