This course is focused on the Computer Architecture. The
mainlessons of the course are:
Lesson 1: Introduction: Computer Performance, Benchmarks
andAmdahl's Law
Lesson 2: Pipeline and scalar processors. Performance

Lesson 3: Superscalar processors
Lesson 4: Very long instruction word processors
Lesson 5: Vector processor

Practice. Practices are mandatory and consist of 4 validations
practices and the development of a job.

Other considerations:
In the practice session validation
is only allowed to take the DLX instruction set simulator and the
paper manual.
The assessment of practical
recognition occurs when the student, at least, has presented two
validation practices.
Work practices may be delivered in
the ordinary examination or resit.
In the theory test examination of
the theoretical contents (4 points total) will be made and must be
at least (1.2 points) in order to pass the course.
