3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Data capture methodologies for DSM generation. DSM characteristics.

Obtention of DTM models from DSM or original points clouds. Methods of classification and filtering LiDAR data.

Quality control of DEM.

Merge of different resolution altimetric information, provenance and timing for multi-temporal analysis of different phenomena using digital elevation models.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Lectures will involve:

- Theoretical lessons by means of master classes with student participation.

- Practice lessons based on the presentation of different projects based in the application of geomatics techniques for the DSM and DTM generation. In these examples, the data available, the data treatment and results will be analyzed.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The evaluation of the subject will have three basic components:

1) Preparation of a case study related to the contents of the course will be evaluated by the responsible teachers.

2) Written theoretical knowledge related to the subject test.

3) Attendance and participation in classes and seminars.

The corresponding weights are indicated in the corresponding Evaluation System section.
