- LiDAR systems. Elements, technical specifications and data quality.
- Terrain data capture with terrestrial laser systems (static -TLS or terrestrial laser systems- and mobile -MMS or mobile mapping system-).
- Scanning planification, data capture procedures, point cloud register and merging. Data integration and data fusion.
- Quality control.
Lectures will involve:
- Theoretical lessons by means of master classes with student participation.
- Practice lessons by means of project based learning examples with actual data, as well as specific instrumentation and software.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The assesment has three parts: attendance, theory + exercises, and practice.
Attendance: attendance will be controlled both at theory and practice lessons. It is required at least a minimum of 50%.
Theory + exercises: written exam which includes the theoretical and practice contents of the subject.
Practice: the assesment is based on the submission of the projects and exercises made during the practical lessons.
The final mark will be the weighted average of the three parts, being the weights 0.1, 0.45 and 0.45 for the attendance, theory and practice, respectively.
In order to pass the subject, it is necessary to get a minimum mark in both theory + exercises and practice parts.
