Item 1. Techniques applied in the phylogeny and taxonomy of Prokaryotes. Item 2. Techniques for isolation and identification of microorganisms. Item 3 -. Analysis of prokaryotic populations. Item 4 -. Microbiology of air, water and soil. Item 5 -. Interactions between microorganisms and plants. Item 6 -. Interactions between microorganisms and animals. Item 7 -. Introduction to Food Microbiology. Item 8 -. Pathogenic bacteria in food.
Lectures are to explain to the student the contents of the course and also to guide him in the literature search (basic recommended) required to improve their knowledge. Practical classes take place in Microbiology laboratory to carry out appropriate practical activities.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
The assessment is based on: -Theoretical and practical exam: 75%. All competencies cited in methodologies will be assessed. -Attendance at all practice sessions, active participation in the laboratory and report delivery: 15%. The following competencies will be assessed: CT2, CT5, CT8, CT9, CT10, CG11, CG12, CE44, CE45 and CE49. -Seminar: 10%. It is based on teacher observation and assessment of the following competencies: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT6 and CT7.
