    1. Bibliorgraphy and references: conventions and formats for different types of work, printed and electronic.

    1. Microsoft Word: i: automatic numbering of sections, headings, examples, tables, figuraes...

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Explanation and presentation of course contents to the whole class in contact-classes (see section "Detailed contents"). Practice exercises.

Individualized attention to students, face-to-face or virtual (chat/email), to address queries and doubts, and to guide and follow up implementation of the written assignments.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The individual written assignments are the following:


1) Compilation of a commented bibliography on a topic chosen by the students, according to his/her own academic interests.

2) Compilation of 15 different types of reference found through the bibliography manager RefWorks. Formal and format edition of this bibliography, according to one the standar referencing conventions for the Humanities.

3) Written essay showing a command of academic English and of the standard conventions for paper-writing and referencing (as explained in the face-to-face classes).
