1. The language of work. Variation in workplace language. Help with the job hunt. Written and spoken genres. Letters, e-mails, faxes, memos,application letters, resumes, CV. Meetings, negotiating, problem-solving, job interviews.
This course will provide students with a clear and useful introduction to the study of language in the world of work. It includes lots of appropriate examples and helpful activities.
Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support
Students have to participate in the classes. The organization and references will be important factors to evaluate individual work as well as originality an fluency during individual expositions.
If Students do not attend 80% of the classes will be evaluated in a different way.
