3. CONTENT DESCRIPTION

The themes that will shape the course will be:
I. The architectural object as a material object : genesis, composition and perception of the architectural object .
II. Architecture as a Cultural and Historical Heritage : types of real estate. Concept and asset evaluation of industrial architecture and ethnographic .
III. Materials and construction techniques . Elements and building systems throughout history : load-bearing and sustained elements . Other procedures and new materials.
IV . The phases of the architectural process and representation systems architecture.
V. Techniques and Conservation . Degradation and conservation of architectural heritage throughout history : major doctrines and restoration criteria .
VI. The law on the Cultural Heritage of architectural or urban character , and the main international treaties.

4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The practices of the art will be conducted by Professor Maria del Mar Rodriguez in a block of credits corresponding to 1.5. May be made in kind in the form of exhibitions and reviews of texts or images , or concentrated as educational trips .

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

The rating system is governed by the provisions of Royal Decree 1125/2003 of 5 September by establishing the European Credit system and grading system in the official university qualifications .
