4. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Students will have the classnotes at their disposal in the virtual platform of the subject, Classnotes will revolve around the classnotes, so as to clarify concepts, give examples and deal widh practical exercises. Students will be given a bibliographical list and relevant sources to carry out their task in an autonomous way.

Students with special educational needs should contact the Student Attention Service (Servicio de Atención y Ayudas al Estudiante) in order to receive the appropriate academic support

5. ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY

Assessment will include active participation in class and attendance, both of which will constitute 20 % of the final grade. The lecturers will base this portion of the assessmenton on the following aspects and control mechanisms:
- Regular attendance
- Active participation in the classroom
- Participation in activities
- Attendance list
- Activity portfolio

The mastery of theoretical and practical concepts will be based on a written exam, which will amount to the 60 % of the final grade.

The remaining 20 % will be based on the participation of the student in the making and exposition in class of a group presentation. The following aspects will be assessed: presentation discursive structure, delivery before deadline, quality of the written and oral expression in English, content quality, originality and formal quality of the presentation. Plagiarism will lead to the loss of the grade as far as this section.
